Public Transport – Free Rides, Metro, and Bus Schedules

During Brasília Carnival 2025, public transportation services have been adjusted to accommodate the influx of residents and visitors.

The “Vai de Graça” program offers free rides on buses and the metro from February 28 to March 4, aiming to provide safe and accessible transportation during the festivities.​

  • Operating Hours: Buses are operating on extended schedules to meet increased demand. Specific operating hours have been adjusted to accommodate the carnival activities.​
  • Additional Buses: An extra 90 buses have been deployed daily to ensure efficient service and reduce waiting times.​

Metro Services

    • Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday: 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.​
    • Sunday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.​

All stations are open for boarding and disembarking until 11:30 p.m. After 11:30 p.m., only the Central station allows boarding; other stations are open for disembarking only.

Road Closures – Where Traffic Will Be Blocked?

Several roads will be closed to ensure the safety of participants and the smooth flow of events.

The Eixão do Lazer (DF-002) will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Tuesday, March 4.

Emergency Services – Police, Fire, and Medical Response

During Brasília Carnival 2025, emergency services are on high alert to ensure public safety.

The Military Police (PMDF) and Fire Department (CBMDF) operate 24/7.

For emergencies, dial 190 for police assistance and 193 for fire emergencies.

Healthcare – Hospitals, Emergency Rooms, and Pharmacies

During Brasília Carnival 2025, healthcare services have adjusted their operations to ensure medical assistance is available to residents and visitors.​

  • Asa Norte Regional Hospital (Hran): Provides emergency services in clinical medicine, general surgery, burn treatment, and emergency dentistry.​
  • Base Hospital (HBDF): Specializes in treating multiple traumas and traumatic brain injuries.​
  • Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPAs): Open 24 hours a day, offering immediate medical attention for urgent health issues.​

Pharmacies and Vaccination Services

  • High-Cost Pharmacies: Open on Saturday, March 1, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will resume on Wednesday, March 5, at 2 p.m.​
  • Vaccination Services: Select Basic Health Units (UBSs) will operate on Saturday, March 1, providing routine immunizations.
