The essay topic, “Challenges for Valuing African Heritage in Brazil,” required deep cultural awareness, critical thinking, and structured writing.

The Enem essay is assessed on five criteria, each graded out of 200 points. To achieve perfection, a candidate must demonstrate excellence in every area:

• Clarity in Communication: Ideas must be presented logically and fluently.
• Understanding of the Theme: Staying focused on the topic and addressing it comprehensively.
• Coherence and Argumentation: Organizing thoughts in a structured way that flows naturally.

Reaching 1,000 is no small feat, considering that the national average essay score in 2024 was 660.

The Ministry of Education revealed key statistics about this year’s results:

• 12 Perfect Scores: A significant drop from previous years.
• States Represented: Alagoas, Ceará, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, and São Paulo.
• Public vs. Private Schools: Only one perfect score came from a public school, with the rest from private institutions.
